Hi people .

I am trying to thread for the first time with a jaguar Dashin lathe fitted with Fagor 800 controller ( photo below )

When i start operation it runs then gives error 017 , ( I - K parameters )

the manual says I & k are correction factors to allow for tool wear along X and Z axis.

Photo attached of the screen shots , what am i doing wrong ? is it the tool positions in X and Z that need to be occupied first before I and K can be applied ?

tool 03 is the threading tool , tool position is correctly set to F6

You would see i am trying to machine a male thread M30 x 2.0 pitch

I have tried setting I and K to zero but problem is the same.

any suggestions please ?

Solved :

X and Z values cant be set to zero in Tool table , pity the error code only shows the fault in the process that follows , not where the fault actually is.
