I'm retrofitting a boss 5 and the z axis motor wiring does not look like the x-y motors. I ohms tested coils and I get .7 ohms between the following. 2-3 4-8 5-6 1-7. How do I connect this motor?

Which motors do you have? Superior or Sigma? Round terminal arrangement or square terminal arrangement? What type of motor driver are you using? 4 wire bipolar (series or parallel), 6 wire unipolar? There are lots of different ways to hook up a motor.

I got it. One of the terminals was not marked and I misread a terminal. It's funny the x-y have sigma and z has superior. I wired x-y parallel. I have wired z parallel but I think it did better on series. What is everyone else running.

I think I did them parallel. There was a long discussion from BOSS5 about this.

Most wire them in parallel with a bipolar driver.
