    What Dividing Head is this?

I bought this for fifty bucks at an auction. I would like to clean it up and also learn how to use it. I've got the general idea that it's a helical dividing head, but which one. It also came with the one plate. Where can I get others, or is it possible to make more with this one.

Not quite sure, but looks like a powered divider for a horizontal type mill. If it is it would be hooked up to the table so that as the table feeds the divider rotates. Needed for special gear cutting, or spiral fluting and such. Try checking with a used tool dealer that speciallizes in older machines.

I'll echo Mark's thoughts. You might try old Hardinge and Brown & Sharpe mills.
