Hitachi Seiki Hitec Turn HT20SII (Turret Index Error, Alarm # 543)

    Hi,
Turret unable to index manually in Jog. Tried to index by MDI for T0400 (Tool # 4 in cutting position) but alarm no. 543, turret index error appears which is still present after frequent startups (power on and power off).
Help is required for removing alarm no. 543
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Hayder

Hayder - what is the control? I assume this turret is cam driven - so you have turn off the machine - then take off the cover on the side of the turret and manually spin the belt until it indexes to position 1 and the sensors on top are lined up correctly with the index plate.- then follow the steps below:

    1. Put turret to position #1 AND POWER ON CONTROL
    2. Hold in Buttons SPINDLE STOP / SELECT BUTTON for Dry Run and FEED HOLD Button at the same time. DO NOT RELEASE UNTIL STEP 5 IS PERFORMED.
    3. Hit E-Stop
    4. Power Off Machine
    5. Power On Machine and Press Stand-By

Let me know how it works out

    If there is an alarm
    What is the text ?
    Might help us help you.
Could be anything to lock out the index function.
Turret not clamped, not in position, parity error, clamped tooth on tooth on the curvic coupling etc.
