    Cam works 4 axis mill

    Hi Forum,

    I have SW/CW and working my way through each project - thus learning more, however i am stuck on this - at least how i should approach;

    Scenario - Sherline mill (with indexed as 4 axis)- mach3 and CW for SW

    Question:
    The process of mill setup for for 3 axis seems pretty straight forward as there is only the XYZ. in the case of a 4 axis (indexer as above) hgwo is this approached in CW/SW as most of what I see is the z Axis moves rather than the material ( or am i looking at this the wrong way?). In part I assume the movement will be translated to a indexer rotation?, but is this really how i should approach this

    bit lost here and looking for an overview approach to begin

    Re: Cam works 4 axis mill

    In Camworks options your can choose to rotate stock.

    Select a 4 axis machine or create one in the database with your machine specifications.
