It's supposed to be one of the best Mach3/Mach4 motion controllers, but I don't know anyone that's used one.

I use the hicon integra. Ive had it for about 6 months.
Im very happy with it. They also have alot of addons for purchase when you need them later.

I just purchased the closed loop activation and have been playing around with it.

    Re: HiCON Integra vital systems

I know this is late, sorry...

Yes, I have the HiCON Integra - 6-Axis Step/Direction Ethernet Motion Controller (pn 7766). I've been running it for about two years without any problem. Hook it up correctly and it, just works.
Since I moved from the hobby controllers' to a more professional controller and servos, unexplained axis moves, control haults' where the bob fails to operate have completely evaporated.

Mach3/4 is a popular cnc controlling software. There is a page at ArtSoft setup for Hicon. The guys from Vital Systems respond to queries quickly there.

I like the hardware and the support. Hope this helps.

    Re: HiCON Integra vital systems

I had a similar problem in the beginning...
The Hicon Integra board needs two power supplies to operate. It needs a 24VDC power supply, as well as a 5VDC power supply. Without a proper power supply you will get nothing from it.
