Is it possible to disassemble/reuse these Heidenhain connectors?

I just wanted to check before I cut them.

one thing for sure, they did not solder it with that metal enclosure installed, I think you can find a way to open that and resolder every wires on it, cut them shorter of course then resolder everything and re use it.

I know that they were assembled after soldering, but the fact that I cannot find any kind of release tab or setscrew makes me think that they weren't designed to come apart after assembly.

    Found on another forum:-

    Figured it out eventually,
I had to remove the clamp at the end of the plug preventing the wires from getting pulled out
then screw the plug back into the socket
then with a spanner (19mm) the rear can be unscrewed (normal RH thread)
after removing again from the socket, the plug can be separated and is ready to be soldered.

I did try to post a link directly to the forum, but it appears to get blocked.
    Anyway, hope this helped.

    Nick.
