Fadal Control Support DC to AC Servos

Is it possible to replace the Glentek / AMP DC servos and drives with third party AC servos and still use the Fadal control?

Fadal used AMC amps with Baldor motors also. If your motors jived with your amps and your amps jived with the axis controller cards then I guess you could do it. Glentek stuff getting hard to get? Why do you want to do that?

You sure can BUT the DC motors are very long and have very high torque, tach, resolver. You can get AC and DC Fadal motors everywhere.
We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.
