Hello all,
My stepper driver board will take either AC (up to 28V) or DC (up to 40V).
My stepper motor is 7v, .7a (60oz)

My desire is to use the on board oscilator and a couple of manual switches to drive the stepper. Computer control is a bit down the road...

I need low RPMs and all of the torque available.

Would I be better off using a 12v DC power supply or using 12-24V AC?

If the AC route is desirable, will a transformer (120 to 12 or 24v AC output) work to step the current down or will I need more hardware?
25.2V Transformer or 12.6V?

Thanks,
Jay
