    Super PID contact info?

So I've placed an order for replacement parts with Super PID to get my machine running again. Running anything at 30,000 rpm is not an option. I received no shipping confirmation like I have in the past. I have waited weeks for delivery and sent emails (3) to see if my stuff has even shipped. They don't seem willing to even reply.

Does anyone have a phone number? I'm ready to call across the pond in an attempt to get someone on the phone but I can't find ANYTHING but an email address (which they are not answering.

I hope they're still in business. I like the product but hate doing business with the other side of the world with limited customer service.

The web site is still out there, but Roman, the guy that developed it and posted here (RomanLini) has been absent from this site and other forums he used to frequent for well over a year , although I had the impression he was not doing the marketing.

    Thanks for the reply Al.
Just want to be clear, I'm not trying to flame them, but they DID take my money quick enough. I just can't get anyone to reply from either of their emails and have no idea if they are there or not.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like Romans web site would be a possible contact as he has not updated it since 2013,
    www,romanblack.com.
The fact the SuperPID web site is up indicates they may still be around.

I've been using the SuperPID for years now and would be very disappointed if they went out of business. It's a great product with no other equivalents on the market.

I did go out to their site and saw that you need to put Super-PID in the subject line or it will get put in the SPAM folder. Just a thought.

    Good luck.

    Thanks Rick.

The disappointment is mine as well.
From their FAQ- "Please help my emails are not getting through, not being answered?
Resend your email with a second (or third) email address and a phone number for us to contact you."

Tried it and other links. Nothing.

I sent an email to Roman, the developer, to see if he can contact someone. But I don't know for sure if he'll get my email, as it's been years since I've heard from him.

    Hi Ken,
I am also in Australia and have access to a large range of electronic parts. Let me know what replacement bits you need and if I have them I will send them to you at no charge. It doesn't help my cause when overseas buyers get poor support from an Australian manufacturer.

What email address are you using?

This is the email listed on the Suuper-Pid website...

    [email protected]

This is the address I have always received responses from.
The name signed at the bottom is Val. Which for some reason I think might stand for Valerie....simple because of the wording used in the emails.

    [email protected]

    Rob

Edit: Val and I communicated via this email back on April 3rd of this year.

    Good news!
I received shipping confirmation this morning from Val at VHipe. Oddly enough, the email said that my parcel shipped on April 7 (my order was placed March 29) I inquired about the lack of communication and shipping confirmation and will report here what I get back.
I'm certainly willing to be patient when placing an order from Australia. The Super PID is a good product, with a good reputation and I'm willing to wait, but I think communication is essential for any company in order to survive.

He was a prolific poster to this and a few electronic forums, he has not posted in any of them since 3years ago.

Ken, I've dealt with overseas vendors (including Val) that were good, and a bit rough to say the least. It happens. We can only speculate what's going on as of late.

Roman was a great contributor here. Besides designing Super-PID, he had some popular-at-the-time-with-the-DIY-crowd open source stepper drive design. Linistepper or something like that. I think however they were unipolar drives. Hope he's fine and comes back...

Order finally arrived on the 20th. Also heard from Val who said production got a bit behind and in turn, emails. Glad they're still alive and kicking. New parts (speed sensor cable) installed easily and all is good. Ran some parts over the weekend and my Porter Cable ran smooth as ever at low speed.

Can you recall the city that they are shipped from? I have some relatives in Australia and wonder if they are close to them.

I can't believe I didn't think of taking a pic or something before tossing the envelope.

After a bit of rooting it looks like Bundaberg, does that ring a bell?
