    2002 VF-3

I have a VF3 coming that is wired for 480 V but I only have 240 3 phase in my building would it be better to rewire for 240 or get a transformer and step it up to 480 ..?

I would think it would be easier to get a 220/480 transformer (and cheaper too). There are a number of 30kva transformers on eBay in the $500-$600 range. Might even find one cheaper with a bit of hunting. That should cover the VF-3, I believe.

Haas sells a conversion kit,but precision is correct it maybe cheaper to find a step up transformer. I've heard of cases where some people will buy a step down transformer!but wire it backwards and you get the same result with achieving 480. Good luck to you.
