It sounds like the thread pitch of the new lead screw is not exactly the same as the old one. If not you will need to re-enter the "steps per" in your driver software to match the new screw pitch for that axis.

    Thanks
    for the prompt reply
i have already checked the pitch. it was actually the same type as were already installed. and of the same company . Can it be a mechanical fault anyway? or parameters?

"Laser is giving error in 2mm. while before installation the error was 300 micron" please clarify what you mean by that. Is the error 2mm?
Over what distance? Is it repeating or accumulating?

Its the error , 2 mm over the length of 1400 mm .
Its the result got from laser system.
I have taken three runs and error comes out to be 2mm in each run.

Is the error proportional to the distance traveled, e.g. 1 mm for 700 mm?
Is the error the same for each direction?
Have any parameters changed? If so, which ones? Especially relating to DMR/CMR and scaling.

    no parameters were changed actually

we have checked the mechanical assembly once again. found the chuck nuts were tight too much. machine was taking jerks at only one step about 2mm. 1 mm in both side . that's why the error was too big

Any ways thanks for your time. Will keep in touch.
