    Calculating work zero

The P-200M control allows expressions in numeric fields, so when calculating zero X to the center of a workpiece which has a width of 200mm,
    - first I touch the left edge and set X to zero
    - then I touch the right edge and input 200/2

The question is, is there a more convenient way of typing the "200/2" like "X/2" or something similar? If the width was 1753.635mm, and I had to type 1753.635/2, the possibility of mistyping a digit is a lot bigger than if I typed just X/2?

Thank you for an answer, if you got what I meant.

    Re: Calculating work zero

    hy / try vwkbx/2

    look : http://www.cnczone.com/forums/okuma/...ontroller.html

    kindly !

ps : far as i know from teahole and from a p200manual, those vwk variables should work on p200

ps2 : please be aware, that those variables may work inside the program, but may not work inside the input fields :

... for example you may push SET, input 0.1, enter
... but you may receive an error if you push SET, input vwk**, enter

stop right there instead of moving the cnc, just bring the table in front of you, measure with a caliber

X axis should still be where it was

    and so, input :
    ... X_origin=CALL
    ... X_origin : ADD lenght/2

for short parts, with normal tolerances, should be faster kindly !

ps : i guess there is CALL on osp 200

    ps2 : G92 X-length/2 ?
