    DRO Question ?

Hi guys, Simple question im sure but im new so .. In Mach3 the DRO's have X Y and Z Axis on the left. SOmetime this is highlighted in Green and others in Red. Whats going on there ? Guessing Green is Go or active and Red is Stopped or locked or something but what is the actual case and how do i control this behaviour.?

    Thanks

Green means you've homed the axis. When you first start Mach3, they should all be red.

Thanks Gerry, This leads me to another related qustion. If there are no limit switches on the Z how can it be homed ? If I cant home it how do you use it ?

    Re: DRO Question ?

If you don't have a home switch, the home position is set wherever the axis is when you click the home button.
It doesn't need to be homed to use it. You just need to set Z zero in the correct position. The simplest way is to just jog to where you want Z zero to be, and click the Z zero button. Then you're ready to go.
