power supply wattage for 4 nema 23

    Hi everyone
So i'm in the final phase of my DIY cnc conception, and i have some questions about the power supply wattage.

For the moment, the electronics consits of :

    3 nema 23 2.8A (2 for the Y axis, 1 for the X)
    (the long ones, like : https://www.poscope.com/wp-content/u.../02/nema23.jpg )
    1 nema 23 (Z axis)
    (the short one, like : https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....CL._SX425_.jpg )

    The motors controllers are :
    - two 2M242 (X and Z)
    - two M542 (Y)

My question concern the power supply, i have a "SP 360W" , rated 36V/10A
    => http://thumbs.ebaystatic.com/images/...wgX/s-l225.jpg

Im asking myself if that would be enough to power all the things above because the motors are rated 2.8A each, so 11.2A for the total, that would theoretically exceed the power supply wattage, on paper, but are the motor really draining 2.8A ? or is that more like a max value ?

Would you advise me to buy a second 36/10A supply to be sure ?

    Thx a lot !

10 amps is fine. The motors will only draw about 2/3 of their rated voltage, and usually less.

Ok thanks a lot for that very fast answer !

I have a subsidiary question : the two M542 controllers i have are not exactly the same, the text on the surface are slightly different, do you think one may not be an original ? or they are two version of the same controller ?

Im asking because since i will use two motor for the Y axis, the movements of the two motor must be absolutely indentical, would that be the case if the two controller are not the same ?

The two drives should be fine.
