What size compressor to use with PlasmaCam

I am seriously thinking about buying a PlasmaCam and am wondering about a compressor. I am looking at a Northstar 60 gallon single stage compressor that delivers 15.5 CFM at 90 PSI. It is also single stage. PlasmaCam says it needs a continuous 6.7 CFM at 90 PSI to operate properly. Will this compressor work or do I need something large or smaller. I am trying to get all my ducks in a row before pulling the trigger.

    Thanks

If you are only going to have the compressor running the PlasmaCam, or in other words not using air anywhere else while using the PlasmaCam, then based on the specification it should work fine. I would not go smaller.

    Jim,
Thanks for the answer. I was wondering if an 80 gallon or two stage would be better. Air compression/usage/ratings are not even close to a strong point of mine. If you have any recommendations considering a budget please let me know.

The 60 gallon single stage should keep up with the cutting. It is not the table, but rather the plasma machine that dictates how much air is used. The compressor will continue to run when the torch is not cutting, so it should be able to handle anything you do.
