Hi Im new to the site and have a problem with my Haas VF1. On startup I get error code 103 on the X axis. I have put a reconditioned motor and encoder in and have checked by moving the cables. Problem stays on the X axis. It looks to me like its the board. Would you guys agree. If it is the board is there a way to confirm this and or repair without paying Haas service the usual excessive call out. Any help and guidance with be gratefully received.

I don't think you have eliminated the parts you just installed. If they are still bad, then swapping them will not show anything. Running the Y motor from the X drive might, but if that setup works okay, then you are back to the motor you installed being faulty.
