    I use two.
Wire them to the analog inputs, and assign them to feedrate override and spindle override.

Yaa, make sure the potentiometer has linear scale and not exponential otherwise with exp.potmeter the speed will change slowly on the turn start and will rise fast at the end of the scale.

Hi ericks - I've been using stepperonline. They are fast on the technical questions and good on delivery and price. Not sure cost compared to aliexpress. Have look at them, they have been very good in my experience. Peter

Thanks Peter.....i have bought from them before, my current machine Nema34 motors are from them. Only problem with them is their shipping cost
I have been talking with them today, they say their drives are made by Leadshine....i bought one long time ago from them but i dont think it was as good as my genuine Leadshine drives.

Not much happening with the machine lately. I have been sorting and cleaning the shed. Today the dust shoe and pendant arrived. Both look good. Been busy planning to start building control panels for routers ect....
Will be using only quality parts....

    Re: CNC router build

Looks like the dust problem is sorted. I am using the Kent cnc dust shoe. Had to make an adapter to fit my smaller vacuum hose. Only problem is i sized the bristles with a large bit...i might need to buy another shoe with shorter bristles for for when i use smaller bits.

Next step is to tidy things up, make a bracket to hold the vacuum hose properly to the z-axis/motor etc...

I did not have a hole saw or chassis punch so i used my old long way to make a large hole. Took about half an hour for this one cause its a very good quality enclosure made with thick plate.

I need to cut holes/shapes into the control panel gland plates....initially i thought of making new gland plates from aluminium. So i tried to cut the steel plate with my router. The test cut worked perfectly i cut at 1000 rpm.

Hi Ericks - Do you have a dial gauge and a scale? Could you check the stiffness of your machine? eg say you push the collet with 5kgf what deflection has it got? Interested because you cut steel so the machine must be very stiff. What was your depth of cut DOC? Peter

Hi....i don't have a scale unfortunately. The depth was only 0.1 mm but i did cut at a fast feed rate. My machine is very rigid, i do have options to make it even more rigid if required. I made small cuts cause i was running the spindle at a very slow speed and i was afraid it might stall

    Re: CNC router build

Thanks Ericks - I don't think your machine needs to be any more rigid. Its Uber rigid now. Yes you do need to run slow rpm on metals. Great machine. Peter
