Just wiring up the MB2 and I"m a little confused on how to wire in the limit switches. Would it make sense to wire each axis to it's own input? So would use 3 inputs for 3 axis. Wire the e-stop to X203 (which comes pre soldered on back of board). So If I used the 3 inputs below X203 would I then solder there inputs together on back of board to create the safety circuit? But if I used the limit switches as home switches then I would not solder the backs as I would not want to create an estop when homing correct?

There are probably 100 different ways to do it, and it really depends on how you want to do it.

Whether you wire them to separate inputs or one input really doesn't make any difference at all. The software won't know which switch was tripped regardless.

The question is do you want do you want the limit switches to do? Do you want them to kill power to everything, or just tell the software that a limit has been tripped?
The safety circuit doesn't really do anything, unless you set up all of your components to properly use it.

If I wire up each limit switch individually to an input then the software (Mach4) should know which one gets tripped. Since I have lots of inputs I was going to do it this way. I figured this would help with diagnostics too. So I'm guessing in the software I could tell Mach4 to either trip the estop or not trip the e-stop based on which input gets triggered?

Do you know that Mach4 can do that? I'm not that familiar with Mach4's capabilities.

YES, Mach4 can do that if they are wired to individual inputs. The question is can you spare that many inputs for just limit switches. More common to tie all the limit switches in series and run to one input. There are ways to wire up LEDs on each limit switch to highlight which one is active, but if you are using Limit Switches as a Home Switch as well you must wire them to individual ports.
