Rigid tappin, Fanuc 15m on Femco boring mill

Hello. Was hoping some could help me figure out how rigid tap on a Fanuc 15m on a Femco boring mill. According to the Fanuc 15m user manual, it say G84.2 is for right hand rigid tapping, but when I tried it, the machine gives me a invalid G-code alarm. Any help trouble shooting this would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Add these lines in your program and run/test it on a safe Z-height.
    Metric tap M10x1.5,

    G95 ( MM/REV )
    M29 S500
    G84 Z-15. R3. F1.5
    X-- Y--
    X-- Y--
    G80
    G94 ( MM/MIN )

Thank for the replies. I'll try these suggestion when I get around to powering the machine back on.

The Fanuc 15m programing manual dose not mention the use of M29 for rigid tapping. I know M29 is use on the Fanuc '0' & '18' series control. It is my hunch that the rigid tapping option is not turned active on this machine.

Dose any know the proper code for rigid tapping on a Fanuc 15m control and the alarm generated if rigid tapping is not installed on the machine. I perfectly fine if this option is not turned on. I just want to be able to use the rigid tapping if it is enable on the machine.

    Hi,

Do you have the Fanuc 15-MB with the B62564E Operator's Manual.
If so, pages 207 - 215 are about Rigid Tapping G84.2 and without the M29.....!
    Check also your personal message.

I am really sorry to hijack this thread but I am really desperate.
I have a femco wbmc 100r2 fanuc 15M and I lost the parameters and we have no backup. If any of you have a similar machine with the same control and brand name then it might work even if is not the same model. If some one has the same machine then I can and I am willing to pay.
