    UCCNC Trojan Horse?

I downloaded UCCNC 1.2037 from CNCdrive.com today and tried to install it. During installation, my virus protection software flagged the main executable UCCNC.exe as a trojan horse. Has anyone else seen this? I'm not anxious to deal with that sort of problem, so I'm hoping this is a virus software problem.

    Thanks,
    Robert

Sorry, should have checked Google first...seems to be a known problem.

Never seen any issues with the release versions, but I do get a minor notification from Windows Defender sometimes installing test versions. But never had any actual problems.

Your virus protection software has serious problems... The download is clean and digitally signed, you can trust it.

Norton Security is crap. I stopped using it about 2-3 years ago when I realized it does more harm than god. I used it for several years before that on many computers. Today I I using Windows defender. That's all needed.

You can continue using it if you trust it, but it is a HUGE resource hog and it gives a lot of TOTALLY idiotic warnings, like the one you received.

    Re: UCCNC Trojan Horse?

I ultimately put UCCNC.exe on the exclude list, and I disabled Norton for the install. I may just remove Norton. This computer won't be on the network anyway.

    Thanks,

Avast antivirus did the same thing.... prevented UCCNC from running even after adding it to the false positive exclude listing. I ditch Avast and went with Defender.
