    madCAM July 2017 Update

    Hi,
Has anyone had any issue with the latest madCAM update?
Has anyone opened up a previous large/complex model, selected the model and found that they could not select a tool, post a profile or do a re-calculate without being asked to continually "Select a model"?
    Regards,
    Mauri.

    Hi,
I tested files that are nearly all STL or OBJ larger than 1GB and found that they are OK.
Small Rhino5 files are also OK.
So it only affects Complex or Large Rhino5 drawn files and even those files if they contain some STL or OBJ inserts.
    Regards,
    Mauri.

    Hi,
I narrowed the problem down to the amount of profiles in conjunction with files size.
    I have advised Joakim.
    Regards,
    Mauri.

Good to know, I've been travelling around Europe for a while and haven't checked the last update.

Is there someone out there who is really happy with madcam? After the last update, I almost crashed my machine while using 5 axis simultanious trimming. Madcam became even worse after this update.

Blame Microsoft. Notice that this is a pre-release. It's not ready, but the alternative after Win 10 1607 is no madCAM at all.
(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)

Yup, haven't touched win updates for a very long time and my CAM workstation is working very well. But we need a CAM that works on the latest OS that's for sure.
