Hi All.

I have an RS232 cable to my V-10 with M32 control. I can get a program from the machine back to my CIMCO editor since I have the parameters from Mazak on how to set up the commmunications.

However when I try to send into the machine I get "553 tape reader error". Since I get code back to the PC, I think all the big parameters are OK, but of course there are all the little ones in CIMCO and the COM port that are not mentioned in the Mazak documentation.

The CIMCO software offers the follow choices for "Flow Control"; none, software, hardware and hardware and software

The COM port in Device Manager offers the following choices; none, Xon/Xoff and hardware.

Screen shots of your setting screen for the CIMCO and COM port would be awesome but all data is welcome.

Did you get this working? did you call CIMCO support as there are no default parameters to give you that makes it work pacific to a MAZAK.

No I didn't get it working actually yet. Mazak does have a publication that purports to lay it all out using an old RS-232 communications software. These is also service tech who is willing to work with me to get thru it. I'll keep you posted.
