    Hitachi TS15 Turret reset procedure

    Hi All,

    * I have 1998 Hitachi Seiki TS15 with seicos sigma 21 control.* I recently had the timing belt in the turret start to fray and the belting was pulled from within the middle of the belt wrapping around the pulleys causing it to not index correctly and causing a turret index time out alarm.* I was able to clear the belting and get it working again without removing the whole turret disc and was able to continue using it while I waited for a new belt to come until it happened again for the same reason.* I removed the "tool turret disc"* and get the old belt off and replace it with a new belt.* However, the timing is now off when I index the turret so it wont clamp correctly.* I still have it apart.*

I cannot find the correct procedure to reset the timing of the turret in my manuals.* Online it seems different models of hitachi seikis use different 3 button combinations and procedures to reset this.* I have seen that I may need to change the 1815 parameter possibly and something else K00.3?

Does any one know the correct procedure on this lathe?* Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

That is a keep relay - so you have to go to Keep Relay 00 and change bit 3 from a 0 to a 1. PM me if you need more help and I can send you a procedure on how to fix this

    Ht23j

Hi John, It looks like you have a lot of knowledge of Hitachi-Seiki's. I have an HT23J. The tool unclamp/clamp piston hit the hydraulic tool release piston while the turret was indexing, & stopped the turret. I don’t know how to get it back to zero. Can you help me with the procedure to zero it?
    Its a Hitachi-Seiki HT23J with a Yasnak control.

    Thank you

    Mike
