Mounting an Universal Robot UR5 on our Haas VM6

This is how we mounted a light weight UR5 to our Haas VM6.

This robot is actually way too small for that size machine. But we already bought a used model from 2011 for another purpose in our company and maybe we can find a funny spot, where this tiny friend is still able to do the tending for the CNC mill.

This sad robot also was unable to do anything because of an encoder failure in joint 6 which needed to be fixed.

We'll see how it performs over the next weeks.

I'm surprised those don't have a little baby solenoid (or two) in the arm to supply signals to common tools. But I guess there wasn't enough space...
