    Open vectors??????

Hi, I have just started using Aspire although I've been reading different threads about it.
I am having problems with Open Vectors, I've tried everything possible, I've clicked on the
tab to close vectors but the join tab is greyed out.
Could somebody please explain step by step,
I've got a word ready to go to be cut, I click on show all open Vectors and
half the letters are closed and the other half are open, I click on the join vectors
tab but the join tab is greyed out.
What do I do now, I've checked that there is no obvious vectors open ??
Sorry hope you understand this, but I've been trying to sort it for 5 days,
    getting no where

    Re: Open vectors??????

First, select all open vectors... (Edit | Select all Open Vectors), then Edit | Join Vectors (J)

Enter a tolerance value within which the openings in vectors selected will restricted to in order for the Join Vectors operation to select and complete...i.e., if the Tolerance is smaller than the gap in the open vector, that vector will be excluded from being a selected target of the Join Vector command.

So make the Tolerance large enough for the Join Vector to occur.

This will close the vectors where gap is less than the tolerance.

Also I've run into situations where there's a few tiny spots or duplicate vectors that are almost impossible to see. So I Hit Shift and manually click on the vectors and move them to another spot on the material to see if there's a hidden open vector underneath.
