Hi, I've been quoted roughly $107/sq ft for 3/4" tooling plate (cut to size for about 9.5 sq. feet).
Does that sound excessive or about right?
Thanks,
Marc.

Probably about right.
Cutting will be 50 - 80 per hour.
Last I bought was a full sheet of .5" - scratch and dent special - 4 years ago, was $1200.

My last PO for Mic6 tooling plate included a 3' x 4' x 1/2" piece cut to size at $494 ($41 / sq ft), the 3/4" piece was 9" x 12" and cost $52 ($70 / sq ft... by weight it should be $61.50 but the cutting cost more).

DR-Motion, I'm just outside of Ottawa. I got my pricing from Metal Supermarkets. Loucon gave me a price today of roughly $130 /sq ft !
I'll give Ability a call, thanks.
