    Re: Feed hold stops spindle

I believe it's K3.0 (there should be a list of keep relay settings in the "blue book").

    From the operator's manual:

K3.0 Set "0" Feed hold operates but spindle and coolant don't stop.
Set "1" Feed hold operates and spindle & coolant stop.
However, in case of executing fixing cycle for thread cutting
or tapping, operation will be stopped after finishing
    actual machining part.

You're quite welcome. I remember the first Doosan (Daewoo at that time) I ran, I thought, "How handy, I don't have to stop the spindle and coolant!" That feeling lasted about 2 minutes into proving out my first program. Then I thought, "What a PITA!"

I have a 8s and a 10hc. The 8s spindle stops the 10hc doesn't. I quite like that it stops. Great to clear a bird's nest or change an insert mid rough cut. Check clearance to the jaws in dry run.
The worst part is if you open the chuck during this feed hold condition as soon as the chuck closes the spindle starts up. That is down right dangerous.
