C axis does not follow the shorter path.

    Friends!

We have a machine with Siemens Sinumerik 840Dsl control. There is a problem in C-axis that it does not follow the shorter path to reach the programmed destination and rotates in only one direction. For example if we program it to move at an angle of +15 degrees, it rotates correctly according to programed path and direction. But if we want to rotate it back from its current position (+15 degrees) to -17 degrees position, it rotates in + direction and reaches to 361 degrees position. Should it not follow the shorter path in reverse direction to reach the destination. Kindly help.

    Hello.

    Try this:

    G0 C=DC(your degrees here)

    For example:

    G0 A0 C=DC(0)
    G0 A0 C=DC(15)
    G0 A0 C=DC(345)

    The value must be positive.
