HI guys
this is my first post, ive been lurking for a while trying to fix problems .. my machine is a chine FL-460 factory upgrade to 80w laser, and ive just changed the controller to ruida 6442G. with RDworks v8.0.12 and the corel X7 plugin
let me start by saying OMG What a head Fk. pulling my hair over the last 3-4 weeks trying to find information on parts in the machine ( steppa motors) and get help from china tech support, less then very limited.
the main problem ive been having is the motors were running extremly rough. I finally fixed this today by changing the settings on the stepper drivers from 3.5 current and 4.0 pk current all the way down to 1.0 curr and 1.2 pk curr. ive still got the microstep at 35 and the pulse at 6400. but now the x and y axis seem very smooth.
I set up a test run to determine the over run at different settings. with a 20mm cut border on the left and scan bars starting 70 mm away from that border and progressively moving closr by 10 mill untill the last one in the set lines up with the border at 20mm from x origin. i have done this for a scan speed of 100, 200, 300, 400 & 500 mm /sec.
this has given me 3 results . the first is that on 1, 2 & 300mm/s it engraves the 20mm from origin scan line then when it drops to start the 400mm/s set it gives the "not enough extend space" error.
the interesting thing is that it gives this error at the beginning of the set, so, 70mm away from origin.
the second anomaly is that i get over run of the scan past the 20mm cut line. it starts at about 1.5mm over the line at 100mm/s and gets progressively larger as the speed increases.
the third anomaly is the text. even though it is lined up in corel and sized so that it fits within lines and is centred etc. it seems to be cutting the text larger then set in corel and not lineing it up as ive specified .. example, the vertical text in the 20mm border that states " 20mm border" is offset to the left of centre by about 1-1.5mm
any help on these issues would be greatly apreciated
