No Coolant in Drip Feed Mode

I can load a small program into memory and run it, turning the coolant on and off, however when running larger programs I need to put the controller into drip feed mode. When I do this the M8 command does not turn on the coolant.

Any thoughts on why? Do I need to change a particular setting?

The only difference in the mode where it works and where it does not is when I turn the TAPE / DNC setting to ON as seen in the picture below.
