    2.5w laser wiring

    Hello
    I buy 2.5w laser with module.
    I connect module to power (12v).
    The laser turns on although I have not connected anything to TTL input.
    How it this posible?
    Can somebody help please?

    It's a bit confusing but the TTL signal is Active High - connecting the TTL to GND turns the laser OFF.

    Thanks for you reply.
    This is the answer from the store where I bought the product:
    It works like: You input 12V it will light on and when you input 0V to TTL it will turn off then when you put 5V to the TTL it will light on.

    But my control can only switch ON via the relay from off to on. I cant put 0V on the laser driver.
    Do you have any advice?

    That is correct.

    It is not advisable to rapidly switch a diode laser ON/OFF (as may be required when using with a CNC machine) by the 12 Volt supply.

    Usually…
    The relay N.C. contacts are connected across the TTL input (taking TTL to 0Volts)
    The 12 Volt supply is connected.
    The laser is turned ON/OFF by operation of the relay.

    In practice the relay is slow to operate so the TTL is generally switched by direct electronic means.

    Thanks for that.
    Can i wire like is drawn in attachments?
    How many volts go from laser driver module to laser?
    I measured it on my module driver output and is 6V.
    Its this ok?

    Sorry but that is not the way to do it.
    (By connecting TTL to GND the laser will never come on).

    Perhaps take a look through this thread as it contains a lot of info that may be of use to you.Diode Lasers. - F

    Ops. I am sorry.
    Wrong picture. Ttl and ground i left it open.
    Its that ok?
    I need information what in the max. Voltage from laser driver module to laser. In my case is voltage 6V. Is that ok?

    You will have to ask the supplier of the laser / driver board to get the answer to that.

    I contacted the seller.
    But they do not have any data.
    I give them negative feedback.
    In the driver is posible to adjust power to laser and i dont now what is the maximum.

    My advise is that you don't adjust anything.
    With diode lasers it is the Current adjustment that is critical and as many before have found the difference between Bright and Blown is a very fine line.
    If you don't know then don't adjust.
