Our Trak DPM SX2P took a tumble and is now laying on its side in a pool of its own oil, so we're in the market for a replacement.
The Trak used to do all of our operations, but we recently purchased a CNC router that will do all our non-ferrous cutting, We're looking for a CNC that will only be used for drilling 14ga steel, so we think we can downgrade.
The steel is in the form of 1.75" square tubing up to 8' long, so its not the lightest material. We drill one end, flip it around, and drill the other end, so travel isn't really a concern, but bed rigidity is.
A few features we're looking for are jog wheels and a quill feed lever for a manual 2D drilling option. Also, network connectivity and support for importing AutoCAD files.
We're looking to pay $10k-$30k. We looked at Novakon, but they don't seem to have jog wheels.
