    Planning to upgrade my 6040

I'd like to upgrade the electronics on my 6040, which is a slightly older version of the omnio X6-1500GT (so I will also be adding limit switches). I think I've narrowed it down to two options, but I'm not sure which would be best.

    Option 1: Leadshine MX3660 and a UC400ETH.

    Option 2: Gecko G540 and UC400ETH.

I'm using Mach 3 now, but might try/switch to UCCNC.

Eventually, I'll probably buy the NEMA 23 steppers that CNC Router Parts sells and a few years later upgrade to their 2'x4' CRP2448 kit.

If you have room, a UC300ETH gives more options, should you need them in the future, and is only about $20 more.

Thanks for that, I started looking at the UC300ETH based on your suggestion and it seems like a better option, so I will go with that controller. The UB1 motherboard for it looks nice but may be overkill for me. I'll probably be fine with the 5LPT + 5axis BOB.
