Not with the HMC, but the Vmc are ok machines from what i have seen, a company i use to work for has 3, 2 bigger one smaller the older big one for a while kept having tool changer issues and some wiring issues but i can tell you it made very precision parts and held .001 all day and it is old and beat to hell, the new one they got had some neat stuff but i left shortly after they got it so i dont know, they can take some heavy cuts
individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command. Very often, that individual is crazy.
I ran one for 2 yrs.
Kitamura has the funkist toolchnagers on the planet.
BTW be prepared to remove the pallet bases and clean the seating areas as chips routinely build up in there and play havoc with your work offsets.
I have a 1993 Kitumura VMC, full 4 axis and 5th indexing with Fanuc controls. Great machines! Fanuc is the most stable NC controls plus one can easily find parts on Ebay. I was recently at a large CNC shop to buy a second Kitaumura and the shop had a couple HUGE HMC’s and lots of Kitumura's and nothing but good things to say, the machines were older still holding tolerance.
