    RICHAUTO A11E - No USB?

    Hi Everyone

I recently purchased an cnc router that is controlled by a RICHAUTO-AUTONOW-A11E controller.

The problem i have is that it will not recognise and usb sticks or the computer. When i try to read the USB stick is just states "There is no item in this directory." I also can't work out how to get the controller to plug & play to the computer.

    I have tried
    15+ USB sticks
    safe removing usb sticks
Several different .tap & .nc file formats.
3 different usb leads to the computer.
    clearing currently saved files.
powering up the unit with usb in already
powering up and then plugging in the usb
reading the 60 page chinglish manual over & over thinking i missed something.
    different usb ports
    different computer

I am not getting and lights on the USB stick so i am not sure if the controller is faulty or whats going on.

I'm also not sure if i am even trying to access the files correctly as the manual is so bad.

Can anyone with experience with this controller please give me some guidance.

After sales service is no good due to Christmas / New Year holidays

    Thanks
    Ben

To see the handle via USB to PC:

    1. power it up while holding the OK and CANCEL buttons.
    2. Leave the CNC machine OFF, use item 1 and connect USB cable to handle

If you do the above, the handle needs to be power cycled to then control the machine.

Filenames on a USB stick work with *.NC extension. Try using the RUN/PAUSE button to access the UDISK (external USB).

Also, go through the SETUP screens to ensure all is enabled for what you want. Note that the A11 propable needs to be to to honour G and M codes from programs otherwise it might ignore settings like "F" for speeds.

I have this problem and it is solved by formatting the USB stick to FAT32.
