can you run G-code for other CNC using Pathpilot if G-code opens in Pathpilot?

    Hello Forum,

I am sorry if this is a dumb question. I had a Digital Wood Carver CNC router that used Mach 3. We sold it and I bought a 1100PCNC with Pathpilot. I have an engraved plaque/sign I made with the DWC I would like to make again and all I can find is the G-code from Mach-3 and the DWC. It opens fine in Pathpilot. But I do not know whether there would be other compatibility issues in trying to run the program with a engraving bit on my PCNC.

I understand the Post Processors are different cause they are from different machines.

Here is the header of the program.

    (BEGIN PREDATOR NC HEADER)
    (MACH_FILE=HAAS - 3XVMILL.MCH)
    (MTOOL T1 S7 D.25 H2. A60. C0. DIAM_OFFSET 1 = .125)
    (MTOOL T2 S1 D.25 H5. A0. C0. DIAM_OFFSET 2 = .125)
    (SBOX X-.8568 Y-1.0665 Z-.75 L11.1432 W4.9335 H0.)
    (END PREDATOR NC HEADER)

I would just run an air cut and see if it behaves. Just stay near the E-stop button

If pathpilot behaves like LinuxCNC on which it is based, opening the program should show anything in the G-code that it does not understand as soon as you open it. If that is successful, then it will likely run it fine, but as mentioned make an air cut above the table and keep an eye on it. Since the program was Mach3 compatible, I would suspect that there isn't anything in there that will give PathPilot a problem.
