vfd help over a year now please

hello all i'm hoping someone can really give me a helping hand .i've had my vfd for well close to two years and i still don't understand it .yes i've been using it but when i start a job i have to start/stop adjust etc etc. id like the software to do it.

long story short after buying 4/5 control boards i found one i'm liking small cheap standalone but now back to the same problem ( i have no clue about it or the manual ive been trying to learn research (i'm hopeless)

the vfd i have is a kinda 320 series 2.2kw .the now new board is the cheap ddcsv1.1 i also have xhc 4 axis mach 3 motion card no matter what. i think i need 3 small wires but no clue where they go.can someone help?
i will attach both pdf thanks in advance

Here's some guesses, but I can't say for sure if this is correct.

See page 20 of the controller manual.

I believe that VSO is the analog output, and should be connected to the VI terminal on the VFD.
ACM is the analog ground, but I don't know if it should go to the GND below the VSO terminal. I think it does.

The M3/M5 terminal on the controller should control a relay for on/off. Page 21 shows a wiring example. The relay should have a NO and Common, which would connect to the MI1 and DCM terminals on the VFD. Set parameter F5-00 =1

Yes, you use a relay for the MI1-DCM terminals.
I don't know about resistors. I'm not an electronics expert.
