    Need help wiring the M16

    Hi,
I just started to wiring my M16. I just need to know how to wire the RJ45 pins to the stepper driver. I simply don't know which pin from M16 goes where on the stepper driver. I wrote the pins bellow.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    STEP goes to PUL+
    DIR goes to DIR+
ERR goes to ENA+ (or ENA-, depending on whether the error signal has positive or negative logic)
GND goes to PUL-, DIR-, ENA- (or ENA+ goes to 5V instead)

    Thanks for your fast response.

The pdf doesn't provide the info I need (or I don't see it). It just says ERR. So I don't know if it has positive or negative logic.

    Please see the page #8.

Judging by the notation used in the manual, it's positive logic. You can try it both ways, it's not going to hurt anything.

If the ERR signal is positive logic (0=OK, 1=error), then ERR goes to ENA-, 5V goes to ENA+.
If the ERR signal is negative logic (0=error, 1=OK), then ERR goes to ENA+, GND goes to ENA-.

I have a new question. How can I connect a C3 indexing board to the M16? I have an encoder that I bought for the spindle but it's mechanically impossible to mount it to the spindle so I need to use my C3.

Machine is a lathe by the way.

    @CitizenOfDreams

I wired the drives as ERR positive logic but the steppers ran only one direction. So maybe it is negative logic? Or maybe I did the setup wrong? Tho, the plugin installer installs the all the settings as well as the plugin itself. I mean I didn't changed anything. Everything is supposed to work after the installation.

If your steppers turn at all, then the ERR/ENA signal is connected correctly. Now you need to troubleshoot your PUL and DIR signals. Check if the DIR signal changes as you change the direction.

How stupid I am. I noticed that I did the wiring wrong. I did it again and it worked.

By the way Johnny from cnc4pc sent me a wiring scheme. A little different. I don't know what it differs. Please see the attached image.
