Inventor HSM Fanuc post processor v Cincinnati Arrow with CT FNC 4 control

    Hi People!

I have an issue when posting files to my Cincinnati FNC control. I use the standard generic post processor that is supplied with my CAD/CAM Inventor HSM 2016.
90% of the time this works fine but when doing more complex shapes using the 3D strategies, it sometimes throws up an error at the control.

The control tells me "the circle end point is incorrect" or similar, I've been looking at the error all day but can't remember the exact wording, sorry.

    Please see problem code below.

    G02 X88.543 Y27.919 I-82.014 J71.849
    G03 X88.464 Y27.817 I0.688 J-0.618
    G01 X86.907 Y25.506
    G03 X86.842 Y25.394 I0.767 J-0.517
    G01 X85.613 Y22.862
    G03 X85.568 Y22.753 I0.832 J-0.404
    X85.135 Y21.427 I75.479 J-25.399
    G02 X84.71 Y20.098 I-228.923 J72.595 This is the highlighted error line
    G03 X84.686 Y20.012 I0.88 J-0.285
    X84.429 Y18.64 I22.19 J-4.866
    G02 X84.201 Y17.262 I-68.596 J10.677
    G03 X84.187 Y17.135 I0.911 J-0.161
    G01 X84.088 Y14.355
    G03 X84.093 Y14.226 I0.924 J-0.033
    G01 X84.382 Y11.446
    G03 X84.399 Y11.342 I0.92 J0.096

I think the error is something to do with the way a Fanuc needs the I J K data presented or used which, I think is different to what the Control Techniques FNC needs. Lots of thinking but no answers.
Do any of you rocket scientist understand this black magic and could help me please? I need to pin point the problem and then (gulp!) get the post changed to suit.

Thanks in advance, any help gratefully received.

Mathematically what you have should work. Are you using tool radius comp? Are you using an origin shift? These things could cause errors with some older Fanuc controllers.

Hi, Thanks for your responses and apologies for my slow reply. I actually solved the problem by trial and error (read = accident) in the user defined parameters in HSM's generic Fanuc post. By switching the "useRadius" to "yes".
I don't use radius comp at the control and never use any origin shifts because I get easily confused.
I'm glad to report by switching the above mentioned parameter I can run all of the strategies available to me without error. If only everything were that simple.

I hope this solves Obhur's problem.

    Thanks PJPowers for your help.
