Anyone have any ideas, my centurion 4 control will not read I's or J's when program is posted via the DNC. Reads I's and J's fine if programmed on machine control.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

What software are you using? and what are your comm settings?
Are you drip feeding or just sending the program into the Centurion's
memory? Can you download from the Centurion's memory into the PC
correctly?
I'm using Mastercam version 7, program looks good. I'm sending the data via the DNC. I have not tried to download memory from machine to the PC.
Jeff,
There is something missing in your file. What I would do is write a small program that works at the mill, then write the same program in mastercam and compare them. Seems to me I had a problem similar to what your having and it was just something stupid with the post, could be it's omitting the circular command (G02/G03) in one or more lines. or it's calling the wrong work plane or it's not calling the plane at all.

Jeff,
I agree with Dave1, write a small program like he says an try it out. One thing
I have noticed on Centurion IV's is it doesn't take much to foul up their programming. For example, a feedrate command at the end of a line instead
of the beginning can screw up a linear or arc move. If you are using line numbers? that can be an issue if they are used incorrectly. If you are programming in the XY plane, G17 is always part of my first line of programming, even though this is the default plane.
I would above everything else, make sure my communications were uploading
and downloading programs correctly into machine and pc memory before ever
attempting DNC.
goodluck
