    Rolling Forward

Back in the old days of solidworks, you used to be able to create a feature, then another, then another etc and then go back to an earlier feature and use points/lines etc from a later sketch/feature as reference geometry by "rolling forward". In the latest solidworks, this is no longer possible. Is there an option that needs to be turned on somewhere to allow for this now? I know it's got something to do with parent child relationships, but can't figure it out.

    Re: Rolling Forward

You can pick reference geometry as long as the sketch you are working on is after the feature you are trying to reference. When you create features the sketches are hidden by default. You can just expand the feature and 'right click' the sketch and click on the "show sketch." The other way is to project the reference feature in to the current sketch.
