This may be a long shot...

I am in the process of getting quotes on parts for a prototype I am building for the hunting industry. The problem I am having is that the quotes are coming in too high. Way too high. I realize that there would be a significant cost savings to running large numbers of parts, but, that would create cash flow problems, and if the parts had any problems I would have high numbers of worthless parts.

So, I am considering a pcnc like the Syil X5. Problem is, I don't know anything about machining. So, I would need somebody to help with the setup, programming, and running of the first few. I would pay well for this, as I believe it would cut weeks or months off of a learning curve.

What do you think? Anybody interested? Know anybody? Bad idea?

    I live in Boise.

That's the reason the parts are expensive. Many of us do this for living , and have devoted our entire lives to this profession and most of our profits to get machinery to do the work .And you would like someone to give that information to you for nothing ..!. Great you have an idea .You go spend $40.000.00 U.S.dollars and spend a year or two to figure it out. Or you can pay the job shop rate..!

The first of anything machined is always expensive,
It is the cost of expertise, experience, and knowledge accumulated..
Can you show us the part?
    Been doing this too long
