I doubt that .020" thick flange will survive traditional (mechanical) polishing. So are we talking about chemical polishing? Maybe Electroless Nickel plating?

The R.025" corners shown in the bottom right view are not reflected in the other views. You'll have to specify if that radius goes all the way along those edges or if it's just across the top of the part.

The R.100" corners look funky on the drawing, I would want reassurance (a fixed drawing) that those corners are strictly R.100".

We can't quote because of lead time, but the above questions need to be answered. Be careful. A lot of people do not know what challenges those .020" thick flanges bring with them.

I would say "SERIOUS CHALLENGES" a little louder.

    Ahk199,

I am very curious, have you experienced impingement issues with these parts during the finishing process?

How many are you polishing at a time and how large are your finishing machines?

    Jeff...

Same questions as Jeff. Our tumbler would destroy these parts, so I assume you run them in much smaller bowl tumblers. Without doing a serious study, my guess is getting them plated would cost a fair bit less in the volume you're talking about. We just got a batch of parts nickel plated... they are like mirrors.

I hope you do well with this job. This is the type of thing people see 2500!!!!!!!! quantity and don't think things through.
