    HY02D223B VFD - Simple Forward, Reverse, Stop. How do I do it?

    Hi All
    I thought this would be a simple 'Google' question, but I'm more confused than ever and can't find a result.

    I have a Router Table that I've hooked up with a HY02D223B VFD and Spindle. It works very well. But I'd rather have a Control box with large buttons that I can easily reach or bump a big red stop button with my knee so I don't need to fumble for the small stop control on the VFD.
    A simple 3 button control box is all I really need (Forward Run, Reverse Run, Stop) to replicate the buttons on the VFDs own control panel.

    Am I correct that all I need to do is buy the necessary 3 switch box and wire
    FOR - to output leg of Forward switch
    REV - to output leg of Reverse Switch
    RST - to output leg of Stop button switch
    DCM - to input leg of all 3 of the above.

    Is there any requirement for an earth wire in the above?

    Ensure Settings
    PD001 = 01 (External Source)
    PD044 = 02 (For Rotation)
    PD045 = 03 (Reverse Rotation)
    PD046 = 04 (STOP)

    Thank you for any input.

    Yes, you are correct. No earth required, as it's just low voltage DC.
    However, you might want to locate the buttons so you can't accidentally hit reverse when it's running in forward.

    If you have an 18000 RPM / 24,000 RPM spindle, then you would not be using a Reverse, this should be blocked, using Parameter PD023=0 Reverse Blocked most high-speed spindles like most Routers use do not allow the spindle to be reversed, most have an arrow laser etched on the Spindle for its rotation

    DCM is your circuit Ground / Common
