    PDB for PCNC440 and DB length

    Hi all, building my own PDB for my 440 and it's coming along. I ordered the Belleville spring washers from Tormach but can't get my head around that the draw bar for their kit appears to be the same part number as the stock DB, same length? The washers will add about 1" to the needed length. I would think this would greatly reduce the holding strength of the threads. I do realize that the washers are not compressed in the photo, but it will still add about an inch. Thinking of ordering a longer DB from MSC Ind. Any thoughts

    Hmmm. Cant speak for the 440, but on the 1100 the DB are different lengths.

    fwiw - the 1100 PCB drawbar is about .625" longer if you take the collar into consideration. It uses 8 washers (not included in measurement).
