Good morning,

I have a problem with my hitachi VK45.

Sometimes the machine gives me the alarm :
" 867 DT 4TH axis vel. feedback disconnected "

I don't have the 4 th axis....

The strange fact is that i can work everyday for a month and i don't have any problem,
and sometime i can't work for a day. The alarm appear also if the machine doesn't work , but is in standby.

When it happens, i have to turn off the machine, wait 30min/1h and maybe i can start to work again

What could it be?

No, this machine never had the 4th axis

unplug and reconnect all cables on the servos to be sure they have good connection. That is my first guess; if it never had it it might have a loop connector. Simple test before we get more into it

I've already test every single cable from SASS11 to the spindle's inverter, everything is ok.....

I start thinking that for 4th axis the control means "the axis" of rigid tapping ( in this case )

I'll do more test with cable, but now i need to work. Do you know if is possible to deactivate the 4th axis?
I must do some urgent works ( without tapping ), and then i can get more on it
