Source for small, cheap bt30 spindle?

Im looking to make my own cnc machine and I dont have the knowledge or desire to attempt to make my own BT30 spindle so I've been trying to find one online with little success (outside of a tormach spindle or unknown garbage from china). It may go into a pivoting head for a 5th axis so the smaller the better. Any leads?

If you can find one, an old Emco Maier F1 CNC mill uses BT30 tooling for it's quick-change spindle. You could salvage one off that, but maybe not that cheap. These were good quality Austrian made machines, not Chinese. It would be fairly compact as well (it's a benchtop mill), and comes with a 1/2HP DC motor, running up to 2000 rpm, or could be faster if you change the pulley ratio.

I'm looking to run 5-7 hp through it so it's gonna need to be beefier than that probably. Thanks for the response though.

The ebay Brother spindle has everything OP needs. A Robodrill rebuilt spindle is $2500. lacks drawbar and everything else.

Well excuse me for trying to help...... Not a Tormach shrill, but the OP listed 'cheap' first and foremost, I rather doubt several thousand dollars would qualify as cheap, so suggest that it is your skills at reading should be examined before casting stones!

Any objections to a Taiwanese spindle? Posa and Royal are both established brands, and Kenturn is a younger company. A few months ago I got a few quotes for an a2-4 spindle from Posa and Kenturn. Both responded quickly and had good prices, ~$2k.

It may be worth designing your own with donor parts to save build time.
To my mind, the ultimate is a universal style mill head with a quill that can be used on 'feed hold'.
With this you could do crankshaft drilling, cylinder head seats and after feed hold return to running the program, sort of a mix of manual and cnc.
The design goal should be not the machine itself, but what can be done with the machine other than cutting little square blocks with holes.
    Wisdom results from foolishness!
