I have a Bridgeport BOSS 8 CNC. It's give me good service for years. For a long time, I drip fed the machine from an old PC with EZUTIL from an old version of FEATURE CAM. Everything worked great. A bit clunky but dead reliable.

Recently, my ancient computer died and could not be repaired. No problem I thought, I'll just run it from a modern laptop using a USB-Serial port adapter. I haven't been able to make it work with a new computer.

The system operates much like it did before, everything seems fine. However, when I initiate a drip feed, nothing happens. I've tried two different USB-Serial adapters from different manufacturers and still the same problem, Have tried many combinations of serial port parameters (which I think should be Even, 7, 1 @ 4800 baud).

Any help? Is anyone drip feeding a Boss 8 with a PC? If so, could you please share your setup with me?
