    Hy 6040

    Does anyone out there know the max spindle speed on this machine? Water cooled 1500 watt motor. Just got it set up and configured. Spindle control is a manual knob on side. Display says 400.00 when I crank it all the way. If that's max, what type of feeds do I need to be using in aluminum? Was messing with it last night, and obviously results were poor.

    Hi, I just bought a HY-6040 used on craigslist. I see you are in the US so the 400 you see in the display is multiplied by 60 (for our 60Hz power) to give you 24,000 rpm. Make sense?

    Mine has the 2.2 kw spindle with all 5 axis. Not sure if I'll ever use the 4th and 5th axis but it's here.
